Nissan Motor Sales Ltd, the local importers and car dealers of Nissan, have been presented with the Global Nissan Award based on their performance in fiscal year 2009.

The Global Nissan Award is presented to independent Nissan centres which have achieved excellent results and made contributions across the areas of new vehicle sales and after sales service. Nissan Motor Sales Ltd was awarded as one of the five European winners among the 56 independent markets around the world.

On receiving the award in Paris, Ian Mizzi, managing director of the company said what an honour it was to receive such an award, especially in the light of the ongoing global economic crisis. Mr Mizzi expressed his gratitude towards the company’s management and staff for their excellent performance and great determination. Mr Mizzi also took the opportunity to thank Nissan for their excellent support and their continued development and production of advanced high quality cars. Mr Mizzi promised that this award will continue to motivate and reinforce the company’s commitment to its customers.

He said he was pleased to note that the new Nissan Juke has already made its mark in Malta after such a short period of time, ranking as one of the best selling cars at the moment.
