George Fenech, chairman of the Tumas Group of Companies, has announced major changes in the executive management of the property arm of the group.

In view of the development portfolio expansion Maurice Tabone, who has been sales and marketing director since 1999, will now move to head office and focus mainly on processing property sale transaction from ­preliminary agreement to final deed.

Mr Tabone has also been appointed consultant to the board on aspects of property development.

George Bonnici is the new sales and marketing director and shall be responsible for all aspects of sales and marketing in the three complexes as well as future projects.

Mr Bonnici brings a wealth of experience to the post having been involved in the property business for the past 28 years.

Highlights of his career include 18 years as the managing director of one of the leading estate agencies in Malta, an effective founding member of the Building Industry Consultative Council and member of the Scandinavian Chamber of Commerce.

Besides the Portomaso Complex, the portfolio now includes Tas-Sellum Residence in Mellieha and Ta’ Monita Residence in Marsaskala.

Other projects will be coming on stream in the very near future, the company announced.

To date the Portomaso sales office handled all matters relating to property sales with responsibility ranging from marketing to negotiating sales and processing transactions right up to signing of deeds of sale.
