With the inauguration of its new training facility in Mosta, Computer Domain wants to continue to expand its portfolio of ICT courses.

Computer Domain, one of the largest ICT training organisations in Malta, focuses on the delivery of high quality ICT and Business education including international certification programmes. These include Microsoft, EC-Council, CISCO, LPI, ISC, as well as diplomas in partnership with Edexcel (BTEC) which are all fully recognised and aligned with the relevant European Qualifications Framework levels.

Undergraduate degrees (BSc and BA) and postgraduate Masters degrees are provided through the sister organisation International Institute of Studies (ISS) in collaboration with the University of Hertfordshire. These degrees are also fully recognised and qualify for MGSS and STEPS government schemes.

“Computer Domain has very ambitious projects for the coming years and will continue to invest heavily both in human resources and infrastructures to ensure it remain at the pole position in the local ICT private educational sector. Computer Domain is currently in the process of expanding its network of training centres abroad,” explained Nick Callus, managing director of the training company.

Indeed Computer Domain accepts students from Malta, other EU countries and also non-EU countries creating an interesting mix of cultures that reflects that globalisation reality. It also operates two centres in Cyprus and has its own residence houses for its foreign students in Malta.

Mr Callus thinks Maltese students mix very well with their foreign counterparts and the standard of education, achievement and enthusiasm are on the same level, although the Maltese students, in general, seem to be more hardworking.

“It is very difficult to generalise foreign students as they come from different countries, backgrounds and cultures but the Maltese students tend to aim high to achieve the best results and grades possible. There are various differences between the local educational system and that of certain other countries which poses a certain element of challenges for some foreign students to adapt to the local environment.”

Computer Domain, established in 1996, forms part of Domain Group (DG) which also incorporates IIS Ltd, English Domain, Computer Domain (Services) Ltd and Nidatech Ltd.
