The Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise has appointed Klaus Pedersen as its trade, investment and internationalisation manager.

He will be heading the chamber's trade and international affairs desk.

The post was set up as part of the chamber's internal restructuring process to assist members in their endeavours to look beyond Malta's shores to expand their business.

Funds from the HSBC support agreement announced recently are being used to set up the new desk with the aim of promoting external trade and investment.

Chamber president Victor Galea said the chamber intends to assist in the organisation of export promotion activities and trade exhibitions, and offer specialised training.

Mr Pedersen is specialised in the field of international strategic management and the internationalisation of SMEs.

He can be contacted at the chamber's secretariat on 2123 3873 or by sending an e-mail to kp@chamber.org.mt
