BMW's new chief executive Harald Krueger is in stable condition, according to the German luxury carmaker, after he fainted on stage at the Frankfurt auto show.
Krueger collapsed while discussing BMW's latest models during a news conference.
Two men escorted him off stage.
It was Krueger's first appearance at a major auto show. He took the helm as CEO in May.
Chief Financial Officer Friedrich Eichiner took over the press roundtable.
BMW later said in a statement Krueger experienced a moment of dizziness and the press conference was cancelled so that he could be examined by a doctor. Mr Krueger's health is stable and he is recovering well, BMW said.
