National team players didn't report for training at Ta' Qali today in light of the Malta FA decision to stop the payment of training allowances.

The players' stance follows a meeting with MFA president Norman Darmanin Demajo and other MFA officials yesterday afternoon during which the two parties exchanged views on the matter.

The members of the national squad have decided not to attend training with the national coaches until an acceptable solution to the training allowances dispute is found. The players' demands and the MFA's proposed match fees and bonuses were due to be discussed by the association's Executive Committee.
