Luigi Muscat Filletti, nine, of Swieqi, and his family enjoyed their holidays in the hills

Last year my family and I spent a week in Austria with our cousins Erica and Julia. One of the lovely places we visited was a mountain in the Tyrol.

We went up by a small cable car. When we were inside it we saw a beautiful, breathtaking view of mountains and fields. Most of the mountain tops were covered in snow, above the clouds. When we arrived, we saw clouds just above our heads! There were lots of goats and cows there too. We had such fun running up and down the mountain together. It was a pity there wasn't any snow. If there was it would have been much more exciting. We took lots of photos of each other.

Time passed quickly. It was soon over. This was a lovely experience we will never forget.

My cousins, Luke and Emma Xuereb, and I also went to spend Easter in Munich, which is in Germany.

A very lovely place we visited was a mountain with lots of snow on it, called Mount Zugspitze. Our parents bought us a snow-glider each and we sat on them and started snow-gliding. We were having races against each other.

Another fun thing we did was throwing snowballs at each other. Not to get hit, we built small forts out of snow, which had got hard. My brother Matteo, Luke, Emma and I tried to build a snowman with huge bundles of snow.

Later, we went on a cable car and went further up.

There were lovely views of snow-capped mountains and lakes. For us cousins it was the first time we went in the snow together. The holiday was a very exciting experience.
