Bottom sides Marsaxlokk and Mosta cancelled each other in a drab stalemate at the Tedesco Stadium today.

It was Mosta, who yesterday were under the charge of new coach Steve D'Amato, who created the better chances for much of the match but they failed to capitalise on the number of opportunities they had with Gilbert Martin and Mavi Mvondo time and again missing clear-cut chances.

Marsaxlokk on the other hand were short of ideas upfront but still managed to remained solid at the back, defending diligently with Clive Brincat and goalkeeper Christian Cassar producing excellent showings in defence.

In the end no goals were scored a result that did little to boost either side's position in the standings and further dampened their chances of avoiding the Relegation Pool.

Mosta striker Ian Zammit was voted as the BOV Player of the match.
