Mobile users are seeing red after their bills soared and data allowances got rapidly depleted since switching to 4G data plans.

Writing on social media, one mobile user claimed that over two months he was charged an additional €1,130 above his usual plan of €60 monthly, saying the only difference is his use of 4G.

Another individual who spoke to Times of Malta said that his data allowance, which typically lasted him comfortably through the month, was depleted within three days of making the switch, despite his internet usage remaining constant.
