The containers which the Malta Labour Party used to display posters during the electoral campaign have been left standing at roadsides throughout the island even though the posters were removed by Saturday morning, polling day.

Contacted yesterday, Benny Borg Bonello, from Labour's campaign office said the MLP had nothing to do with the containers left lying around.

The party had rented them out and it was the hire company that had to see to their removal.

He would not divulge the name of the company.
