Foreign Minister George Vella said today that he would file a libel case against the PN media over allegations made about his declaration of assets in Parliament.
It had been alleged that the minister intentionally did not declare his residence.
Dr Vella said he had declared exactly what was required. Ministers, he explained in a radio interview, were only required to declare what belonged to them and what formed part of the community of acquests.
His residence was acquired by his wife before marriage and therefore he was not required to declare it.
In this context, he had, while not declaring his place of residence, he had declared another property which formed part of the community of acquests.
