The Malta Football Association this afternoon clarified the new pricing structure for Premier League matches.

It said that w ith regard to elderly persons in possession of Karta Anzjan, prices remained unchanged at €4 while admission for children under 12 remained free.

The association apologised for any inconvenience caused.

Several football fans submitted comments to timesofmalta.com earlier in the day complaining about the new pricing structure.

Antoine Portelli, the MFA’s newly-elected treasurer, told a news conference yesterday that the MFA had agreed to a fixed ticket price of €6 for top-flight matches.

Last season, men paid €8 to watch Premier League matches but women, children and senior citizens were charged €4 or exempted.
