Mediterranean Bank plc has named Edward Jaccarini its new chief financial officer.
A chartered accountant and member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers, Mr Jaccarini was previously CFO for National Bank of Dubai - Investment Bank and for an equities derivatives boutique investment bank, Diwan Capital Limited of Dubai.
Before moving to Dubai, Mr Jaccarini was finance officer for Banc of America Securities Limited, a London-based bank, and the finance director for 30 other Bank of America subsidiaries.
He also headed the Regulatory Reporting department for the Bank of America EMEA region. His earlier roles included financial controller at Credit Suisse Securities Limited, and positions within the Internal Audit departments at the London offices of Credit Suisse and The Bank of New York.
For three years, he served as senior vice president, responsible for accounting policies and control, at Riyad Bank, Saudi Arabia.
At Mediterranean Bank, Mr Jaccarini joins a highly experienced and specialised team of local banking professionals heading the bank's growth, led by chief executive officer Mark Watson. The Valletta-based bank offers euro term deposit accounts, savings accounts, and wealth management products.
