Vascas Jewellers have this weekend opened their doors to the annual exhibition of fine jewellery and silverware, Expectations 2007, at their outlet in Naxxar.
The public can admire an array of innovative displays, with the limelight being on three masterpieces being presented for this occasion.
Two of these fine jewellery pieces are hand-made, designed and produced locally, featuring a butterfly pendant and earrings and a pearl necklace with a diamond clasp. The butterfly set consists of brilliant cut diamonds, yellow sapphires and natural gold-coloured Tahitian pearls. The pendant and earrings are mounted in separate pieces of gold to create the original three-butterfly design.
The exclusive pearl necklace comes with an original designed clasp of 18-carat white gold, brilliant cut diamonds on a pave setting with two Tahitian black pearls to complement the three strings of white Akoya pearls by Takara.
The third unique item is a Takara pearl necklace consisting of multi-coloured Tahitian, South Sea and fresh cultured pearls with cross-shaped brilliant cut diamonds.
A certified gemologist from the HRD Antwerp World Diamond Centre will be present to give professional advice on diamonds and precious stones.
Vascas Jewellers are this year's sponsors of the Malta Television awards 2007 trophy. The silver statuette is on display throughout the weekend, offering the public a unique opportunity to view and experience the expertise and craftsmanship of Vascas' commercial partners Marcello Giorgio, that were entrusted with the production of the trophy.
