Nationalist Party deputy leader Mario de Marco yesterday successfully underwent surgery at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London, the Nationalist Party said.

It said the surgical intervention was to remove a benign tumour located along the facial nerve.

Dr de Marco will resume his professional and political duties in a few weeks time, the PN said.

The Labour Party, Speaker Anglu Farrugia and MPs wished Dr de Marco a speedy recovery.
