Police in Britain charged a man today in connection with the abduction of a nurse found alive in the boot of her car after going missing for more than a week.
Magdeline Makola, originally from South Africa, had not been seen since December 15 when she left the car park of Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, where she works as a nurse.
She was found by police in the boot of her car on Friday and taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
"A 35-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with the abduction of Magdeline Makola," a Lothian and Borders police spokesman said.
