More than 70 people aged between eight and 73 today plunged into the cold December sea at St Julian's to collect money for the Razzett tal-Hbiberija.

The charity swim was organised by the Thomas Smith Group and more than 2,000 Euros were collected.

The swim, which has now become an annual event, is the brainchild of Anton Buttigieg, a manager at Thomas Smith Group. It was first organised in 2001.
