For the second successive year, Italian skipper Filippo Massimo Lancillotti won the prestigious Roma per Tutti regatta on board his First 44.7 Sciara.

Among those on board Sciara during the race, now in its 17th edition and organised by the Circolo Nautico Riva di Traiano, were two Maltese sailors from the GasanMamo Commanche Raider II team - Ramon Sant Hill and Kenneth Tabone.

Sciara was first in its class and the overall winner after completing the gruelling race from Riva di Traiano, down to the islands of Ventotene and Santo Stefano, rounding Lipari and back to the club.

In all, there were 32 boats at the starting point but not all of them finished the race, that had a time limit of seven days, due to bad weather and strong winds which at times reached 25 knots.

Sciara's time was put down at 81 hours. Lancillotti retained the Coppa Don Carlo, a memorial to race founder Carlo di Mottola.
