A group of 28 Maltese students from the European Institute of Education graduated at Masters level from the University of Leicester.

Addressing the Maltese graduates, at a party in Leicester, EIE President Antonello Cappitta expressed pride in the academic achievements they obtained.

EIE has been associated with the University of Leicester since 2000. During this period some 350 Maltese students obtained their Masters through this university, and almost all secured employment with top companies and played important roles in local commerce and industry.

The University of Leicester ranks 12th out of Britain’s 123 Universities. It is The Times’ University of the Year for 2008-09, and it has featured prominently amongst the world's top 200 institutions for quite some time. Over 19,000 students from 150 countries study at the University of Leicester.

eie offers 20 different Leicester programmes at Masters Level in nine different areas of specialisation namely Business Management, Finance and Accounting, Sales and Marketing, Education, Law, IT and Computing, Psychology, Media and Journalism, and Human Resources Management.

The most popular degree programmes at the University of Leicester amongst the Maltese are the Master in Business Administration (MBA), MSc Marketing and MSc Finance.
