A group of students from the boys' secondary school that forms part of St Ignatius College yesterday put up an interactive presentation and kick-started the annual Megaconference Junior 2008.

This is an annual international event that this year has brought together 215 schools worldwide via videoconferencing.

The Maltese students' presentation was entitled Malta: A Mega Mini Island, and was about local history, culture and gastronomy.

The students and their teachers were assisted by technical and support staff from IT Services, University of Malta, who are also the local coordinators of this event.
