ˆˆFor the first time in over 10 years we have received so many pictures marking St Valentine's Day that we have decided to show them on the front page. Is this maybe something to do with 2008 being a leap year we wonder.

Traditionally, a women may make a proposal of marriage to a man on February 29, or any time during a leap year. Tradition further says that if he turns down the proposal he must give the girl a kiss and a silk gown to make up for his decision.
