An awards night was recently held by Lions Club Mdina, during which awards and certificates of appreciation were handed out to committee members by past president Isabelle Coppini. Two new members were also inducted during the event.

A donation was handed to Stephen Attard of LAND (Living Ability Not Disability) - an organisation that helps people with special needs integrate into society.

The ceremony, which was followed by a brief reception, was held at Villa Diane in Fleur-de-Lys, Birkirkara, and made available by Charles Fenech.

Another event was a Mediterranean fish evening, hosted by Maryanne Abela, who offered her residence in High Ridge as the venue.

Delicious homemade fish dishes prepared by the committee ladies were served during the evening, while guests were entertained by The Quacks.

Proceeds from the events went towards a charitable project.
