Notwithstanding any amount of language manipulation, a landfill is a mizbla in Maltese. Calling the mizbla an "engineered landfill" is only an effort to make people believe that the proposed mizbliet near Hagar Qim and Mnajdra are going to be filled with construction waste or that the waste thrown into them will be separated according to international standards.

This is not the case: there will be little difference between the waste being deposited in Maghtab today and the waste to be thrown near Mnajdra and Hagar Qim.

The difference will be "the lining" and a bill of about Lm2 million, paid out of your and my pockets.
