From Hannah Grech Pirotta, eight, of Msida
Dear Junior News, During the Easter holidays my family and I went camping. Together with a number of our friends we went to the camp site. We spent five days there and had a lot of fun playing football, riding our bikes, playing UNO and a lot of other things. My friend Lara's birthday was on the same day as Easter this year. Easter came early this year so unlike past years it was still too cold for us to have our first swim.

When we go camping we build an oven with stones, mud and clay. We used it a lot because on Good Friday we made pizza. On Saturday we took turns to sneak up to the dining area to make cards for Lara. She was very happy with them, so happy that she made us a card saying "Thank you for the cards". She got nine cards and it was her ninth birthday too. On Sunday we went abseiling and climbing for the first time. It's a lot of fun but our parents told us that we should never try to do it without them and without the right equipment. We climbed on a small wall not a cliff, as we are only young kids after all.

On Sunday, after Easter Mass, we went back to the camp site where we had an Easter egg hunt and found a lot of eggs and some decorative bunnies. We put all the eggs we found in a basket and then shared them equally. After the egg hunt and Lara's party sweets, we had a small water fight, un-pitched the tents and made sure the camp site was clean before we left. I enjoyed my Easter holidays and just can't wait till the next time we go camping again. Being in the country-side with all that fresh air sure feels nice, which reminds me to pass this message: Look after the countryside and keep it clean as it is always nice to get away from all the cars and pollution.

What an adventurous holiday, Hannah. It sounds like you all had a fantastic time and you deserve to because not only did you get out there and try something new but you made sure that you took safety precautions and nowhere was spoiled by your activities. We hope others will follow your example. And you've won an €11.65 voucher for sending this week's star letter. Well done and please send us your full address.

From Kirsty Hickey, London.
Dear Junior News, I thought I would take a few lines to share my good news with all my family and friends in Malta. When I was nine, I played a part in London's West End Musical Billy Elliot. At that time I played a ballet girl called Alison Summers. I can be seen on DVDs and publicity as the show went on to Sydney, Australia and will soon open in New York.

Since then I have had the opportunity of going to one of the best theatre schools in London, The Sylvia Young Theatre School, where I met another Maltese girl, Sarah Harrison, who has now left.

I have had the opportunity of working with and meeting many famous people and I sometimes pinch myself, as I am doing something that I really enjoy and have always dreamed of!

I am now 12 years old and I have been fortunate to be cast again

in such a wonderful musical. This time round I am going to play another character, Angela Robson, which I am extremely delighted to be doing. Unfortunately, I will not be able to get across to those wonderful Maltese Islands. I can but dream of those lovely sunsets and lovely beaches as I perform to my wonderful audience.

I'll keep you all posted on my future achievements, always follow your dream and maybe it will come true! Hope you receive this alright. Best wishes, Kirsty.

As you can see your letter has reached us, Kirsty, and we are pleased and proud to print it because you are not only living a dream but working extremely hard at it. Missing summer holidays is not the only demand that being in such a musical makes on its cast, as anyone in the business will tell you. But you have set an example for other people from Malta - that it can be done. And please do let us know how you get on. We're sure lots of people would like to hear what it takes to get as far as you have done and how you fit in all the demands of school and training too.

• The sender of the star letter each week will receive an €11.65 voucher to exchange and a VIP 10 per cent discount card for all toys at Toyland for a whole year!

• Send your letters, together with your full name, age and address to Junior News.
