BALZAN-6, ZABBAR ST PATRICK-0

Debutant Bojan Kaljevic scored four goals as Balzan annihilated Division Two
side Zabbar St Patrick to reach the quarter-finals of the FA Trophy.

Balzan scored twice in the opening 17 minutes to all but seal their win.

Ryan Darmanin went close with two rising headers but the lanky striker put Balzan ahead when hitting home from Oscar Guerrero's corner after 14 minutes.
Bojan Kaljevic, who was making his debut for Balzan, made it 2-0 three minutes later with a powerful header from another Guerrero corner.

Late in the first half, Guerrero was unlucky not to increase Balzan's lead as his volley rattled the crossbar.

Balzan moved 3-0 up seven minutes into the second half when Kaljevic headed home from Guerrero's corner. Two minutes later, the former Mosta forward completed his hat-trick with a diving header from Darmanin's low cross.

In a rare counter-attack, Jean Claude Cesare, on as a second-half substitute, came face to face with Christian Cassar but the Balzan goalkeeper blocked with his feet.

Balzan extended their advantage in their next attacking foray, Guerrero firing home from Darmanin's pass.

Kaljevic scored his fourth and Balzan's sixth with a well-hit strike from Steve Bezzina's pass.

Pisani, the St Patrick goalkeeper, then denied substitute Lydon Micallef who, minutes later, hit a post with a fine lob.
