American singer and songwriter Justin Timberlake will perform in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday, the show’s organisers announced today.

Timberlake, a former member of NSYNC and nine-time Grammy Award winner, will perform his new single Can’t Stop the Feeling during the interval of Saturday’s show at the Globe Arena in Stockholm, the first time in Eurovision history that a non-contestant will be participating in the show.

"This is a fantastic opportunity, we are very happy and excited that Justin Timberlake will perform his new song together with his band in our show. It makes it extra special that the Swedish songwriters Max Martin and Shellback have co-written and co-produced the song together with Justin Timberlake," said Sven Stojanovic, Show Producer of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest.

Whether Malta's Ira Losco gets to perform on the same stage as Timberlake on Saturday depends on her performance in tomorrow’s first semi-final at 9pm, when Walk on Water will be competing with 18 countries - including favourites Russia - for 10 qualifying slots in the final.
