Five journalists, two photographers, a cameraman, three opinion writers and a freelancer with The Sunday Times of Malta, Times of Malta and timesofmalta.com are finalists in this year’s Malta Journalism Awards.

Journalists Claudia Calleja, Christian Peregin and Kurt Sansone are finalists in the News (Print) section.

Ms Calleja and Mr Peregin are also finalists in the Features (Print) section together with Kristina Chetcuti.

Mr Peregin and Darrin Zammit Lupi are finalists in the e-journalism section. Mr Zammit Lupi and Matthew Mirabelli in the photography sports and news categories. Mark Zammit Cordina is finalist in the broadcast film section.

Competing in the sports section are Mr Sansone and Kevin Azzopardi.

Claire Bonello, Michela Spiteri and Andrew Azzopardi are finalists in the opinions section with articles they wrote for Times of Malta or The Sunday Times of Malta.

Lino Bugeja is a finalist in the Travel, Cultural, Sport and Environment categories for articles in The Sunday Times of Malta and the Times of Malta as well as the Broadcast category for his contribution to Campus FM.
