John Taylor, the luxury real estate network established in 11 countries, has opened its first agency in Malta.
The company said it opened the agency in response to burgeoning demand from international buyers seeking an alternative residence in the EU.
"Malta’s Global Residence Programme has seen its popularity soar amongst expats, and its appeal was crystalised in a recent survey that identified the
island as the ‘third best country for expatriates,’ it said.
Real estate professional Michael Hili is heading up the Malta office and will establish John Taylor’s presence on the island.
Manuel Mallia, Minister for Competitiveness, welcomed the investment, saying that this was a vote of confidence in the Maltese economic landscape.
“More than ever before, Malta is being seen as a stable and safe jurisdiction and a true Mediterranean and European gem. With a booming property market, John Taylor will continue to add value and develop the luxury niche within the industry,”
he said.
