Recasts with Inter's defeat

Inter's runaway start to the Serie A season came to an unceremonious end on Sunday night as Fiorentina plundered a convincing 4-1 victory at San Siro.

The Nerazzurri, who won their first five games to take maximum points and top the table, were 3-0 down inside 23 minutes as Josip Ilicic scored an early penalty with Nicola Kalinic bagging a brace.

Miranda was sent off on the half-hour mark but Inter managed to rally and respond through Mauro Icardi, who notched midway through the second half. Kalinic would complete his hat-trick, however.

The result means Paulo Sousa's Fiorentina are the new leaders heading into a Europa League week.

Genoa denied 10-man Milan the chance to win a third straight game as Blerim Dzemaili instead condemned the Rossoneri to a third defeat of the season.

Sinisa Mihajlovic's men fell behind to Dzemaili's 10th-minute opener when the Swiss midfielder struck the only goal of a 1-0 victory thanks to a deflection off Giacomo Bonaventura.

Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli was dismissed just before half-time after raking Diego Capel's face and the visitors to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris could not find a way back into the game.

Surprise package Torino are now second after recording a fourth victory of the season, at the expense of Palermo, and despite losing two players to red cards.

A Giancarlo Gonzalez own goal and Marco Benassi's first strike of the new term gave Il Toro the upper hand. Cristian Molinaro was then sent off, allowing Gonzalez room to slash the deficit.

Joel Obi followed Molinaro down the tunnel at the death but Torino held on to triumph 2-1.

Lazio climbed to fourth in the table by beating struggling Hellas Verona by the same scoreline at the Bentegodi.

Filip Helander gave the Gialloblu the lead after 33 minutes but half an hour later Lucas Biglia equalised with a penalty. With time running out, Marco Parolo turned home Biglia's pass to settle it.

Udinese picked up an overdue win, their second of the campaign, as they trumped Bologna, again by a 2-1 scoreline.

The Stadio Renato Dall'Ara was bouncing when Anthony Mounier boosted the hosts ahead on the 31-minute mark, yet hush descended when Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu and Duvan Zapata turned the match on its head in the second half.

Elsewhere, ambitious Sassuolo preserved their unbeaten status but were denied a fourth win as Alberto Paloschi cancelled out Gregoire Defrel's opener to earn Chievo a 1-1 draw in Reggio Emilia.
