JLT Insurance Management Malta has appointed John Stivala general manager with effect from January 26.

Mr Stivala, who has worked in insurance underwriting and captive management for 20 years, will take responsibility for overall operations and business development.

JLT Insurance Management Malta Ltd is a joint venture between Jardine Lloyd Thompson and Elmo Insurance. Through captive management services, JLT seeks to add to the economic wealth its corporate clients create by enabling them to effectively finance the risks their businesses face more effectively. JLT had identified a growing interest from companies in establishing captives in an EU domicile.

Elmo's role in providing local knowledge and infrastructure is central to JLT's vision of delivering the highest quality insurance management services locally.
