A magisterial inquiry into the police shooting of a man in Qormi in 2007 has not been concluded yet.

Nationalist MP Franco Debono this evening asked Justice Minister Chris Said in parliament whether the inquiry into the May 2007 shooting (of Bastjan Borg in Qormi) had been concluded and what the outcome was. He also asked whether action would be taken against anybody.

Dr Said said the inquiry had not been concluded by the Magistrate yet.

Borg, 52, who was a former patient of Mt Carmel Hospital, was shot five times by three policemen after a disturbance in Qormi where he allegedly threatened passers-by and damaged a number of vehicles using a flick knife.
