Valletta becomes vibrant and alive during Notte Bianca and each year one can notice several improvements. I am sure that to organise such an event entails many hours of planning and dedication. However, several aspects can be enhanced in order to further promote this jewel.

One such aspect pertains to the performances held throughout the night. Perhaps one can consider having such performances at regular intervals, so as to allow the visitors to be able to follow most of the events.

Another aspect that needs to be attended to is cleanliness. It is not easy to clear the litter that consumables create. Yet at certain points, namely in front of the market, it wouldn‘t have taken much to have someone assigned by the organisers to clear the barrels cum tables at regular intervals. Bins could also have been placed less sparingly.

One last aspect that I noticed was the lack of security. Street police were lacking in certain "hot spots" where a younger crowd was gathered.

I believe that the authorities should redefine certain roles for the police and maybe a section should be established to have the exclusive role of monitoring street activities involving crowds, especially when such mega events are being held.

How about organising these events more frequently with various national themes and talents? Visitors to the islands cannot but enjoy and relish such events.
