Malta-based International Hotel Investments is pursing the development and management of new luxury Corinthia hotels in Dubai, Rome, Brussels and Abuja, the Malta Stock Exchange and stockbrokers were told in an information meeting.

In some cases negotiations have advanced significantly in recent months and agreements are expected to be signed in the first half of this year.

"The Chairman reiterated the company’s commitment to ensuring these properties are among the very best in the hotel industry," IHI said.

IHI owns and operates luxury Corinthia hotels in Malta, Budapest, St Petersburg, Prague, Tripoli, Lisbon and London.

It was also announced that the residential penthouse at 10 Whitehall Place,
London – adjoining the Corinthia Hotel London and owned by NLI Holdings, in which IHI is a 50 per cent shareholder – has been leased for a period of two years.
