The government has spent €1 million on a new kindergarten in San Gwann, with the money going for the embellishment and maintenance of the building and the building of new classrooms.

Education Minister Evarist Bartolo said during a tour that infrastructural investment in state schools last year was the highest ever. He underlined the importance of schoolchildren and teachers having a good school environment. He said the latest addition of works was the primary school in Victoria, Gozo.  

Finance Minister Edward Scicluna said such projects were possible only because the Maltese economy was doing well.
