The HSBC Cares for Malta's Heritage Fund has donated €35,000 to Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti (Maltese Heritage Foundation).

The money will be invested in projects supporting Malta's heritage. Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti is a non-profit organisation whose aim is to raise awareness of the island's extensive heritage. The foundation is organising a retrospective exhibition of works by renowned artist Edward Caruana Dingli. It is to be held at the Palace in Valletta during Easter 2010. It is also planning an exhibition of Antique Maltese Jewellery to be held in 2012.

The foundation's chairman, Maurice de Giorgio, thanked HSBC for their continued support, which has gone a long way towards achieving Patrimonju's aims. This including the restoration of Palazzo Falson Historic-House Museum in Mdina.
