Parliament met twice yesterday and spent six hours discussing in committee the Environment and Development Planning Bill, which provides for Mepa reform. Nationalist MP Frederick Azzopardi presided.

Parliamentary Secretary Mario de Marco piloted the clauses with Ċensu Galea and Joseph Falzon, for the government, and Roderick Galdes, Leo Brincat and Alfred Sant contributing to the debate.

The discussion will continue this evening.
