Jason Pisani, Angelo Borg, Joe Mifsud and Massimo Cremona have just competed in the Grand Prix of Scotland which was played in Glasgow under the auspices of the Federation of International Sports Table Football (FISTF).
Cremona and Borg left their mark in the Open tournament as they made it all the way to the final while Mifsud went on to claim the Masters title.
Mifsud and Pisani qualified from their respective groups before negotiating the first knockout stages until they were paired against each other in the semi-finals.
Regular time ended in a one-all draw before Mifsud scored the winning goal that placed him in the final against Belgium veteran Daniel Scheen.
The gold medal match was another tight affair but with extra-time looming large Mifsud found a way through to go 2-1 ahead and claim the title.
In the Open, Borg and Cremona were in a class of their own as they progressed to meet each other in the final.
The decider was evenly balanced, requiring extra-time and a shoot-out to determine a winner after a 1-1 draw in normal time.
Cremona went on to claim the title after scoring twice to his opponent’s single goal.
