ABELA. On April 11, at her residence, VIVIENNE of Victoria, Gozo, aged 64, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Joseph of Palm Pharmacy; her daughters and son, Tanya and Joseph Debrincat, Joseph and Yana, Maria, and Louise, and their siblings Giacomo, Chiara, Jean, and George; her brothers, amongst whom Mgr Joseph Bezzina; her mother-in-law Mary, the brothers and sisters of her husband and their respective families. Special thanks to the doctor and the consultant for their loving care during her illness. The funeral cortège leaves her residence in Palm Street tomorrow, Wednesday, April 12 at 4.30pm for the Gozo Cathedral where a concelebrated Mass præsente cadavere will be said, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Marija Cemetery. BROUSSON – CHRISTOPHER GERALD CLIVE, died peacefully on April 9, 2017, aged 77. Beloved husband of Sally and very much loved by his family, Fran, Harriet, Emma and his grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held in Malta, venue and date to be advised.

She leaves to mourn her loss her children Mario and his wife Agnes, Rose, Raymond and his wife Sylvana, Anna and her husband Costantino, Joseph and his wife Marvi and Michelle and her husband Raymond, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sister Tereża, widow of Ġużi, relatives, friends and home residents. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today, Tuesday, April 11, at 1.15pm for Marsaxlokk parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Fondazzjoni Nazareth, Żejtun, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

CASSAR. On April 9, at Mater Dei Hospital, EDWARD, son of the late Bernard and May Cassar, aged 62, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sisters and brother, Cecilia and her husband Concetto Sciacca, Arthur and his wife Corinne, Theresa and her husband Anton Valentino, his nephews and nieces, Nicolette and her husband Ivan Camilleri, Henri, Tamsin and her husband Olly Jackson, Peter and his girlfriend Andy Grima, his grand nephews and niece Luigi, Gianluca and Karla, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Wednesday, April 12 at 1.30pm for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. DARMANIN – MIREILLE (Ye Ye), widow of Richie Darmanin, aged 91, passed away peacefully at St James Hospital, Sliema. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Joe Vincenti, her sister Carmen Arrigo, her nephews and nieces Robert and Marina Arrigo, Joanna Arrigo, Angela and Trevor Sullivan, Veronica and Julian Zammit Tabona, Joseph Vincenti, Marie-Therese and Louis Stride, John Vincenti, Francesca Vincenti, Paul and Karen Vincenti, Stephen Vincenti, Catherine Piccinino Vincenti and Victoria Vincenti. The funeral leaves St James Hospital today, Tuesday, April 11, at 1.30pm for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where a celebrant Mass will be held at 2pm followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

MERCIECA. On April 10, at Karin Grech Rehabilitation Centre, ROSE, née Refalo, widow of Antoine, passed away peacefully, aged 86. She leaves to mourn her great loss her daughters Felicity and her husband Philip, Louise and her husband Renato, Sandra, and Veronica and her husband Max; her grandchildren Matthew and Sara, Christopher and Stephanie, Adriano, Michael and Sarah, Clarissa and Julian, Elizabeth and Adrian, Sarah and Christopher, and Stephanie and Nikolai; her great-grandchildren Mattea, Mark, Alexander, Lucia, Francesca, Edward, Frederick, Christina, Giulia, Anna, Luke, Daniel and Benjamin; her in-laws, Rosemary Refalo, widow of her brother Vincent and Mary Rose Mercieca, widow of her brother-in-law Edward, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Wednesday, April 12, at 8am for St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.45am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
