Champions Hibernians are within one match of completing a double after they easily disposed of Mosta to the tune of 6-0 in the semi-finals of the KO competition.

League runners-up Birkirkara are the ones who will be doing their utmost to scupper Hibernians' double dream.

The Stripes are also hoping to lift the cup after seeing off Raiders 3-0 in the semis to reach the KO final for the fifth time in their history.

Dorianne Theuma notched a hat-trick for Hibernians in their demolition of Mosta. Tessie Agius, Joanne Vella and Lesley-Ann Galea scored the other goals for the Paolites.

Birkirkara needed just 23 minutes to put the result beyond Raiders. Eleonora Agliano hit a quickfire brace between the ninth and 18th minute before Deborah Pisani added a third goal on 22 minutes.

Hibernians and Birkirkara will be contesting the KO final for the third consecutive year, a testimony to their standing as the best teams in the ladies' football scene.

Birkirkara have won the competition three times while Hibernians have clinched the KO title only once.

The final will be played at the National Stadium on Sunday, May 25 as a curtain-raiser for the Super Cup final.
