The General Workers' Union, through its professional, finances and services section, will be submitting its proposals for a reform to local councils in the coming weeks.

The union said that, in this way, it would be contributing to the reform process and at the same time it would be safeguarding the interests of local council employees.

The matter was discussed at a meeting with Chris Said, Parliamentary Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister.
