Leading indicators point to strengthening recovery in leading economies, the OECD has said.
The data continue to point to recovery in OECD economies, with indicators for "Canada, France, Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom pointing more strongly to recovery than in last month's assessment," the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development said.
The OECD also said that all major economies it monitored which were not among the 30 OECD members "are in a recovery phase".
The overall leading indicator for the OECD area rose by one point in October from the September level and was 5.7 points higher than for October last year.
The indicator for the United States rose by one point and was 3.9 points higher on a 12-month basis, the OECD said.
