Ten per cent of the European funds from the budget allocated for Malta have been committed to Gozo, Parliamentary Secretary for EU funds Ian Borg said today during a meeting with the Gozo Business Chamber.

He said the 10 per cent had been promised by the previous administration but this administration made sure this aim would be met by increasing Gozo’s allocation to €16 million.

This money would finance new equipment at Gozo General Hospital, improvements at the Xewkija industrial estate, the building of a new block at the Gozo sixth form and assistance to employers.
