Roger Friggieri, sous-chef at the Golden Tulip Vivaldi Hotel, won a gold medal for this artistic sculpture in fat at the London International Salon Culinaire.

Mr Friggieri had previously won two silver and two bronze medals at the Malta Salon Culinaire earlier this year, along with three other chefs from the hotel, Michael Depasquale, Ishmael Mifsud and Jeremy Alamango, who had also won medals.
