Telecommunications company Go is to showcase a broad range of career opportunities at the first-ever Go Careers Open Day to be held at the Corinthia San Ġorġ Hotel in St Julian's on February 9.

"Go is very interested in meeting new people and giving them the opportunity to work in the challenging field of telecommunications which is full of unique opportunities. Go needs new personnel to fill vacant posts in various aspects of its business - sales, customer service, call centre, technical, software and management opportunities," said Philip Van Coillie, Go's chief human resources officer.

"The Careers Open Day experience is yet another initiative that demonstrates Go's commitment, not just to the local economy but also to education and to opening up fantastic career opportunities for young people," he said.

Go's HR business partners will be present all day on February 9 to speak directly to potential future candidates and offer advice.

Young people who are looking for a new job in telecommunications, considering a complete change of direction or are focused on improving their skills should attend, armed with a CV. Go staff will register their details and outline job opportunities best suited to their aspirations.

"On this, our very first edition of Career Open Day, we will be teaming up to help young people discover the world of Go where we are proud of being Malta's first quadruple play operator. We are excited about capturing new flair and energy that will undoubtedly enhance our core values," Mr Van Coillie said.

Three presentations about Go and its opportunities will be given on the day at 10 a.m., noon, and 3 p.m.
