Bank of Valletta being the official partner of the University for the DegreePlus programme, a group of first-year students studying entrepreneurship paid a visit to the bank's Republic Street branch.

Valerie Valente James, Head, Personal Banking, welcomed the students and took them round the flagship branch, highlighting the various services provided and the different functions that the branch carries out. The students also met cashiers, relationship officers and back-office personnel who explained their main duties and responsibilities.

The visit also included a tour of the Valletta Business Centre and the bank's training centre. Head of training Joseph Zammit gave a short presentation on entrepreneurship, also highlighting the bank's ongoing investment in training and development and its commitment towards corporate social responsibility.

During the first semester since its launch, the DegreePlus programme has achieved a resounding success among first-year students. BoV is working closely with DegreePlus and looks upon this project as a good opportunity to continue consolidating the bank's contribution towards the development of education in Malta.
