GO plc said this evening that its e-mail services had been restored after developing a fault in the morning. The fault affected its e-mail services, ISP emails (@ maltanet and hosted domains) and di-ve.com mail.

"The outage was in no way related to any problem in GO's international or local connectivity, but was the result of a software problem which affected the delivery of e-mails," the company said.

At no point was outgoing e-mail affected.

It said its team and e-mail vendor worked round the clock to solve the technical glitch.

The company apologised for the inconvenience caused.
