Having just returned home from our 41 small visit to Malta in 19 years, I urge Air Malta to reconsider the decision to cut Glasgow flights this winter.
I left Qawra at 4.30 a.m., took flight KM198 and was at home by 10.15 a.m.
If I am forced to fly to London and then on to Malta, the journey could be extended by up to five hours. If I choose Ryanair, I would be forced to make an overnight hotel stay in London upon return.
Ryanair, while slightly cheaper from London, is not an alternative to those of us in Scotland, nor is the prospect of changing planes in London (or Manchester). Air Malta's online booking, check in and in-flight service are first class. Please, don't forget regular visitors to Malta.
