It seems that some car drivers have found a new way to endanger lives of motorbike drivers. As soon as they spot a motorbike in their rear-view mirror they slow down to narrow the gap between them and the bike. Then, these really charitable car drivers accelerate and brake suddenly.

This happened to me for the first time on the coast road a couple of days ago. I thought it was just a one off but, to my surprise, when I was relaying my experience to other bikers they told me I was lucky that this was the first time I went through it.

Obviously, the car driver knows two things when he does this: first, he is not going to get injured and, secondly, any damage his car sustains will be paid by the biker's insurance. To the people who do this kind of stuff: shame on you. To the authorities: make this punishable.

Incidentally, it seems that the car drivers who do this charitable act are generally older than 40 years old and are not young motorists.
