Dark tourism is the intriguing topic of two activities that the Institute of Tourism Studies' Centre for Cultural and Heritage Studies is organising for ITS students and the public this week.

Malcolm Hanson, who describes himself as "a ghost walker, a ghost hunter and a ghost writer" , is among the speakers at a seminar to be held at the ITS assembly hall, Pembroke, on Wednesday at 6.30 p.m. He has written a book about Valletta's ghosts and held several ghost walks.

On Friday at 7.30 p.m., Mr Hanson will also conduct a 90-minute Valletta Ghost walk to raise shed light on Valletta's ghostly inhabitants. Participation is limited and on a first-come- first served basis against a €5.50 fee.
