Why are we so keen on creating chaos instead of order? One example is the time chosen for funeral Masses at St Anne's parish church in Marsascala. Incredibly, they take place either in the morning, when all the kindergarten and primary school children are going to school, or else exactly as school closes (that is around 2.15 p.m.).

There is already a huge parking problem when parents arrive with their children. One can imagine what happens when other people attending the funeral try to park at the same time. To make things worse, much of the limited parking space is booked for the funeral and therefore closed by the police.

Besides, young children are faced with the upsetting sight of a coffin being transported into church with people dressed in black walking behind it. I believe that my child is still too young to deal with the knowledge of 'death'. As the school and the church are literally side by side, I expect this matter to be taken into consideration.
